Calling all swimmers!
We are extremely pleased to announce that entries for the 2013 Dis-Chem Sun City
Swim are now open! To enter all you need to do is click here
and you will be directed to the online entry site. Early bird entrants receive a
discount – so don’t delay!
Race date is Saturday, 26th October
2013 at the Sun City Water World Complex. As normal, the
day kicks off with a 3000m swim, followed all the 1500m
age group events – all timed. The day ends off with a 600m fun swim. There is
something for all members of
the family – what’s
more entrants
get free entrance to The Valley of the Waves complex!
Dis-Chem and Sun City remain the title sponsors. Speedo have committed to
providing different coloured swimming caps for each event for all entrants as
well as Speedo golf shirts to identify helpers. Voltaren will once again present
medals to all finishers and Bené Water will hand out bottles of spring water to
all competitors exiting the finish area. Biogen will also be handing out Carbo
Gen slush on the day. Garrun
Group are providing free personal accident cover for the day to all entrants.
Please remember to accept the free cover on your entry form. Similsan are once
again providing the kiddies face painting area and Pharmachoice are your Fun
Swim sponsors.
We will once again be using be the ChampionChip timing system, so don’t forget to bring along your chip from last year. You will be able to purchase a chip with your entry if you do not already own one. You MAY enter the timed events without a ChampionChip, HOWEVER, you will NOT receive a time, NOR be eligible for prizes, NOR be counted for the 10 year loyalty award.

Garrun Group, our Financial Services Provider, has undertaken to arrange free
personal accident cover for all pre-entrants who accept the offer. Please
remember to accept the free cover on your entry form. Garrun Group will contact
you with the full details and issue a document confirming cover for the day.
