36th Long Course Championships
held at the Delville Swimming Pool in
Germiston
in the Ukurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality area of Eastern Gauteng
from the 11th to the 14th of March 2020.
The SAMS Open Water Championships were held
at the Homestead Dam in Benoni on the 15th.

18 (13 female & 5 male) SAMS Swimmers achieved 46 qualifying times for SAMS colours in pool races during the Championships.
26 (14 female & 12 male) SAMS Swimmers achieved 70 qualifying times for SAMS colours in pool races during the season before the Championships.
The above resulted the announcement of 27 re-awards and 3 new awards at the awards ceremony on Saturday evening.
In addition Open Water SAMS Colours (3km) for the 2019-2020 season were awarded to 8 swimmers (6 re-awards and 2 new awards).
